French start-up Gaspard has developed a connected intelligent liner pad, which uses a system of sensors to help prevent pressure sores for wheelchair users, people of reduced mobility or patients hospitalized for long periods of time. Morgan Lavaux, the 29-year-old entrepreneur who developed this innovative product, was himself the victim of an accident that left him paraplegic. After a four-year period of hospitalization, Morgan Lavaux has experienced the pain of pressure sores first hand.
